The Church in Huntington Beach had its origins in early 1974, when a number of believers moved here from several cities in the Southern California area to practice the church life and reach the local people for Christ.
We began to meet together in a rented facility in downtown Huntington Beach three times a week for fellowship, prayer, gospel, Bible truth study, and to share the bread and cup at the Lord’s table.
As a result of the Lord’s blessing, the church rapidly outgrew its rented facility and sought a property on which to build a permanent assembly hall to adequately meet the needs of its growing congregation.
Accordingly, a two-acre property at the corner of Beach Boulevard and Clay Street was acquired in 1976 and construction of an 8000 square foot assembly hall with classrooms for children began that year and was completed the next year.
Since its inception the church has reached out to the community and to local colleges with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
As believers we enjoy meeting together regularly both in our meeting hall and in our homes for more close-knit fellowship and mutual care. We testify of our rich enjoyment of Christ as we meet together in oneness.
